We’ve been hard at work planning this year’s Library Fall Conference, Creating Engaged Learners: Bringing the Common Core to Life Through School Libraries, and have even added a few new surprises. We want this year to be even better than last year but we need your help! We are expecting around 700 attendees and we need volunteers to help us on the day of the conference.

Volunteers are needed to help with registration, set up rooms for workshops, introduce the workshop presenters, give out and collect workshop evaluations, and clean up. Click for a complete list of volunteer tasks. We also need volunteers the night before (from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm) to help set up tables, arrange handouts and post signage. Volunteers who agree to set-up on the morning of the conference should arrive between 7 and 7:15 am to be briefed on their tasks.

Those who are interested in volunteering should contact me at lsmith9@schools.nyc.gov with their name, phone number, e-mail and mailing address. You will be contacted before the conference with more details.
We want to make public our thanks to the many dedicated volunteers, so please respond with your confirmation by October 7th so we can include your name on the printed program.

I hope to hear from many of you soon!
