How to Plan a Fabulous Author Visit for Your School Library

Attend this session to gain insight into what you need to do to build a successful author’s visit, from booking the author through a publicist or contacting an author directly, to preparing once you know the author will be coming and what kind of follow up to do after the author has left.

Esther Keller is a librarian at JHS 278K Marine Park. She oversees the NYC Cooperative Collection of Middle School graphic novels. She also reviews for Library Media Connection and School Library Journal and contributes to the Good Comics for Kids blog on SLJ’s site.

A middle and high school English teacher in Brooklyn, New York, Melissa Kantor is the author of several best-selling novels for young adults.

Dina Sherman is a literary agent representing authors at Disney-Hyperion Books.
