Dear Exhibitor:
The New York City School Library System is pleased to announce our 22nd Annual Fall Conference to be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Vendors will have unprecedented access to approximately 750 New York City public and non-public elementary and secondary school librarians. This is the one occasion during the academic year vendors have an opportunity to exhibit to NYC school librarians with hands-on access to your materials and resources.
The goals of this conference include:
  • Supporting librarians in their strategic efforts to improve their library programs.
  • Providing librarians with the tools they need to support and extend inquiry and independent learning through the library program.
  • Providing access to the most up-to-date library resources to assist in collection development.
  • Building the expertise of librarians to become leaders in the integration of resources and technology into instruction.
  • Providing school library personnel with professional development and access to resources to help them support the current implementation of the NYS Common Core Learning Standards in their schools.
  • Strengthening the relationship among school libraries, public libraries and the school community.

Please visit our Conference Wiki at for additional information or contact Melissa Jacobs-Israel at or 212-374-0213.
We look forward to your participation.
