The Best FREE iPad Apps for Your Library
Tabitha Johnson

The iPad is a device that has the potential to change many aspects of library instruction. The School at Columbia piloted an iPad program for book clubs and classroom instruction for the 2010-2011 school year. We are entering our second year using iPads as one tool for instruction. In this workshop, I will share the best free apps and web clips that I have used with students for instruction. There will be time to look at the apps and even practice using them. This workshop will give new iPad users a beginning glimpse of some helpful apps for education.

Tabitha Johnson has been working as the Kindergarten-Fourth Grade Librarian at The School at Columbia for the last four years. She recently presented at the Internet Librarian Conference on using iPads in the Library.
